Lund University’s initiative in Science Village is making progress, and the latest update meeting on September 26 provided us with insights into the latest developments in the establishment work. The meeting was held both in-person and online and was part of the regular information meetings at the Rydbergs Hall of the Department of Physics. The primary invitees were those directly involved in or affected by the establishment work.
During the meeting, information was shared about Stage 1, Nanolab Science Village, and Stage 2, which concerns the co-location of the Physics and Chemistry Departments, as well as parts of Department of Electrical and Information Technology (EIT).
Anneli Löfgren, project manager for Stage 1, gave a presentation on where they are in the process of establishing Nanolab in the area. You can access her presentation here:
Else Lytken, a member of the operational steering group and the upcoming Head of Department at Physics, gave a presentation on Stage 2. The information addressed what came out of the design-driven dialogues held earlier this year and what is happening this autumn in terms of developing a premises programme and operational scope proposal. You can find her presentation here:
Those of us engaged in the establishment work are grateful for the significant commitment from all participants, and a big thank you to everyone who attended in person or joined via screen!
If you have any questions about the content of the presentation materials or about the establishment work in general, please do not hesitate to contact us at lusciencevillage@science.lu.se. We are here to answer your questions and connect you with the right person for further information.
The next update meeting is planned for January. The focus of the meeting will be on the premises programme for the co-location in Science Village, which is being developed this autumn by the project group with a deadline at the end of December.
